What is the Difference between Airspace Authorization and Airspace Waiver?
Today’s episode is about airspace authorizations and waivers. Todd in Cleveland asked us to clarify the difference between the two. Filing for an authorization will grant you certain access to airspace while obtaining a waiver means something else entirely, so we do our best to outline the differences. Additionally, we talk about the future of authorizations and how the process might look in the future.
More information on airspace authorizations and waivers is available in our How To Apply for an Airspace Authorization(UPDATED 2017) video.
Thanks for the question, Todd! Fly safe!
