Oftentimes, hobbyist pilots upload drone videos to YouTube with no intention of monetizing them.  However, they usually want to make money off of these videos once they get their Part 107.

Today, we talk about this problem.  Can you monetize YouTube videos you shot as a hobbyist pilot?

Well, it all depends on the content of the videos.  Of course, the video can’t contain footage of you doing anything illegal with your drone.  If you were flying in restricted airspace, for example, you won’t want to use the footage for business purposes.  Otherwise, you should be fine.
