In today’s show, we reveal how a drone pilot can get speedy airspace approval to fly near an airport without LAANC.
Our caller wishes to fly in controlled airspace near an airport. Unfortunately, the airport does not have LAANC. How can our pilot get airspace approval? Of course, he can apply for airspace approval using FAA’s DroneZone. However, this is a cumbersome process that can take up to 90 days. Can a drone pilot get airspace approval for an airport quickly without LAANC?
